  18. It uses a custom filter hook which only shows files recognised by
  19. datatypes.library as picture files. This requires opening and reading from
  20. each file in the directory in turn, to find out whether it is in a known
  21. format; the same behaviour can be seen in the file requester for the Sound
  22. preferences.
